Message settings
The message settings affect the sending, receiving and viewing of messages.
Settings for text and e-mail messages via SMS
1. Press
Menu
and select
Messages

.
2. If more than one message profile set is supported by your SIM card, select the
set that you want to change.
• Select
Message centre number
to save the phone number of the message
centre that is required for sending text messages. You will receive this number
from your service provider.
• Select
Messages sent via
to select the message type:
Text

Paging
or
Fax
.
• Select
Message validity
to select the length of time for which the network
should attempt to deliver your message.
• For message type

Default recipient number
to save a default
number for sending messages for this message profile.

Reply via same centre
to allow the recipient of your message to send you
a reply via your message centre (network service).
• Select
Rename sending profile
to change the name of the selected message
profile. The message profile sets are only displayed if your SIM card supports
more than one set.
Overwrite settings
When the text message memory is full, the phone cannot receive or send any new
messages. However, you can set the phone to automatically replace old text
messages in the
Inbox
and
Sent items
folders with new ones.

Settings for multimedia messages
You may receive the multimedia connection settings as an over the air message
